Mookie Cook Returns to the Court for Oregon Ducks

Freshman Wing to Make Season Debut After Injury Absence

Eugene, OR, [Date] - News Lead:

Oregon freshman wing Marquis "Mookie" Cook is set to make his long-awaited season debut for the Ducks on Wednesday, January 4th, against the Arizona Wildcats. Cook, a highly touted recruit from Portland, Oregon, has been sidelined with a foot injury since the start of the season.

Cook is one of the most promising prospects in college basketball and is expected to make an immediate impact for the Ducks. At 6-foot-8 with a wingspan of 7-feet, Cook has the physical tools to be an elite defender and shooter at the next level.

Oregon head coach Dana Altman is excited to finally have Cook back on the court. "Mookie is a special player," Altman said. "He's got a great combination of size, skill, and athleticism. I think he's going to be a real difference-maker for us."
